We're a little store with a big heart and even bigger dreams! We started four years ago as the High Park Organic Market, a family run business dedicated to bringing you local organic produce at the best prices around. Since then, we've grown up a bit and become The Sweet Potato, Toronto's first natural foods retailer dedicated to bringing you not only the freshest organic fruits and veggies, but whenever possible, making sure they come from a local farm.
We pride ourselves on our produce. During the Summer months, we source over 80% of our produce directly from local Ontario farms, ensuring the shortest possible trip from field to table. We love organics, and have strong relationships with many of Ontario's best organic farmers. We also support many local greenhouse growers who use new farming techniques to deliver high quality crops free of pesticides and herbicides. In cases where a product can't be sourced locally, we try to come as close as possible without comprimising on quality.
We don't sell 'cheap stuff'. We sell only the highest quality products! The difference is, unlike most others, we try to sell everything at the lowest prices possible. How do we do it? We are some of the hardest working buyers in the industry. We work directly with local farmers, suppliers, and manufacturers to get great deals for you, while at the same time, feeding our local infrastructure!
